ONE NIGHT IN PARIS
Finally arrived 14 hours later in gay ol' Paris after said 'delightful' train journey. One enormous fight over a map later, we jumped in a cab, ditched our packs at the hostel, and walked in the general direction of the city. Luckily my superb sense of direction lead us from Sacre Coeur directly to the Louvre, through the Tuilerie Gardens, Place de la Concorde, down the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triumph and back home before dinner. Then did the same walk, a very different experience at night - seriously beautiful - to the Eiffel Tower. A hot chocolate on top of the Eiffel Tower looking over Paris at midnight. Life could be worse.
