DAY 4 - VENICE

VENEZIA
We arrived and found very quickly that it was high-tide, and the city was flooded. Aka don't bother coming because conveniently everything is underneath 1 metre of icy water. Armed with our overbearing packs, inappropriate footwear and a sleepless night on a horribly uncomfortable train, navigating the water logged streets was quite an experience.

PIZZA
Our first Italian city, our first slice of pizza. The best pizza in the world on every corner. For approximately $1.50 a slice. I'm in heaven.

SAVED
Thank god the city was so beautiful, or things could have been interesting. The photos really don't capture the unique atmosphere. Amazing to think that people actually live here. So picturesque, but great to be able to return to dry, stable land.
