DAY 13 - PARIS & MANNHEIM

HOMELESS
We headed to the main station in Paris to book our tickets to London. Finding out they were $640 one-way was not a pleasant surprise. Plans had to be seriously re-assessed. Researched planes/trains/buses/ferries but everything was hideously expensive. We now had no where to go and no where to stay until the 20th, when we were due to arrive in Berlin. A quick call to Andy and Angelika, and we were back staying in Mannheim. A series of fiascos, culminating in us finally buying tickets to the last and only sold-out train to Mannheim directly from the train manager aka AMAZING GERMAN LOVELY MAN LIFE SAVER, had us speeding towards Deutschland, and 3.15 hours later, we arrived. THANK GOD.
