LUCKY
Is also something that I am not. We were supposed to go to Rome today, but:
a) it was pouring with rain, and
b) it was a public holiday in Italy.
I should have known something would happen given our short but terrible history in Italy:
Venice - Flooded
Florence - Museum Worker's Strike.
So we took to the streets of Perugia. Desperation, hunger and poverty overcame us. We resorted to cheesy set-up photos. I even scaled a precarious wall.
UNHEARD OF
Even the cats were ugly today. And missing essential body parts, like eyes and a tail.
SOLACE
Walked to the main church on the other side of town. Sat in the gardens reading for a few hours. Lovely.
